Re: Fuel

Cheers for your reply, I used the sib today and it was OK. I always run the carb dry after each trip when flushing the OB out.

Fuel

Hi,

My fuel tank has not been used for a couple of months. I believe the petrol in the tank will still be OK but is there any problem with the petrol in the pipe leading to the connector. The tank is kept in a damp free dry garage. Cheers for any replies

Re: Leaving outboard on

Thank you for the replies, just as a precaution I'll put a block of wood under the OB just to support a bit of the weight. I have bought a Fulton lock, the compound is secure and has cctv but if someone wants it I expect like anything else they will take it.

It's a 3.5m Sunsport Talamax and a 9.9 Mercury 4 stroke. Just wondering if it would damage anything. The sib will be covered, transom wheels left d...

Re: New sib

My Sunsport seems decent quality, they do packages with Mercury outboards, and have a 2 year warranty with any Mercury dealer. There probably isn't much difference between the main brands the place I got mine from said it was as good as the Honwave but a bit cheaper, they sold Honwaves aswell. So I ...

Re: New sib

I have a Sunsport airdeck and did some research to check its quality I got this back from a store. Quicksilver are made in China by Mercury / Brunswick in their own factory. They also make the Sun Sport, Aqualine and Silverline, Talamax boats. So compared to many other brands that are made in third ...
