Good to hear, Gray. I just ordered the non-telescopic version. I will probably mount the fitting on a piece of wood at first and use a g-clamped to fix it on the transom so I can find the correct position before drilling in the transom.

Hi Sibfisher and Gray. I am about to mount a transducer on my KB350. Are you still using your telescopic and non-telescopic arms today and would you done anything differently if you were to install the transducer today?

It is a short shaft outboard but the shaft is longer than the transom on my boat so the cavitation plate sits 5-6 cm below the bottom of the boat... Yea, I can read that a long shaft on a short transom is definitely not ideal. I don't see a lot of 8 hp 2 strokes from the early 2000's for sale though but I'm not in a rush.

Thank you both for the advice. The outboard turned out to be a long shaft so I didn't buy it even though the seller insisted it would be fine with my Zodiac.
