Excel Volaire 390 and Mariner 20hp
Excel Volaire 390 & Mariner 20hp. The Volaire is a brilliant boat, purchased new in June 2020. Made from 1670 Decitex, which is 1.2mm thick (rather than most inflatables, which are 0.9mm) Very tough, but also very stable and quick. Full inflatable V-floor (not an inflatable keel), so gives a softer ...

Re: Warsash or round there Fri/Sat 20th/21st August?
Agreed. And in the major cross-wind on that day, my Volaire 390 showed the directional stability of a new-born calf on an ice rink. My tiller was at 45 degrees, just to go in a straight line. Love to do try it again on a good day!

Re: Warsash or round there Fri/Sat 20th/21st August?
Hi guys, many thanks for the replies. Overall, I'm inclined to think maybe a later date might work better. Weather is now looking gloomier, with just cloud. But I'm also not sure about how good Warsash is for RIBs on trailers, as I remember it being a very shallow gradient on gravel- and both you gu...

Warsash or round there Fri/Sat 20th/21st August?
Hi - anyone fancy a day out on Friday 20th or Saturday 21st August from Warsash? Looks like high tide is 10am till 1pm, with lows at 3am and 4pm. BBC weather even looks promising for both sun and wind? Or somewhere like Itchenor (though I've never been there)?

Re: Saturday 26th June -- Christchurch to Swanage
Can I add my thanks to @bbutty for organising a great day out. It was great to meet @harrison and @sonny1, and to see @ChrisParish again in the new Aerotec. Lovely day, great trip and hope to do it again. A few pics to add:

Re: Saturday 26th June -- Christchurch to Swanage
Hi, XCW weather for Saturday in Christchurch suggest gentle breeze, with gusts less than 10 mph, and even some sunshine between 10 and 1. The BBC even seems to agree!
