Sunsport cleaning?
Hi guys, I’m on my second year now with my 3m sunsport telamax sib, I’ve always flushed the outboard after use for obvious reasons, but the other day someone told me I should wash down the sib after every use? This would be quite a time consuming job dragging it out of the van every time I get home!...
Re: Gear oil
The manufacturer says SAE 80-90 but doesn’t state a make? Which made me think any SAE 80-90 from a car accessory shop, say comma or Castrol etc?
Gear oil
Hi, is automotive gear oil ok to use in outboard, or is there a specific marine gear oil that’s required?
Thanks

Marine oil or synthetic motor oil?
Hi guys, just going to do an oil change on my tohatsu 6hp 4 stroke, marine oil or motor oil,? Personally I can’t see why you should need a marine oil as the engine in question is not in contact with any water, and also I’ve used very good quality motor oil in high performance cars and bike, so surel...

Tohatsu service
Hi guys, I bought a new tohatsu 6hp back in January this year, probably put around 5-8hrs max on it, should I service it now? Still got original oil in it, I am quite knowledgeable about engines but it doesn’t seem to have come with a service schedule booklet??? Any info would be helpful. Thanks
