Re: Sound proofing Outboard

That's just the downside of 2-strokes. I don't mind it so much personally and I like the upsides of having 2-strokes (except fuel efficiency of course) like the weight, power and I might be old fashioned but there's something I love about that old outboard motor smell you get from 2-strokes. I"ve ne...

Re: 8 to 10 hp outboard

To be fair I'm likely to give more trust to a 2-stroke since they are easy to maintain and fix. No computers, just moving parts.

Re: 8 to 10 hp outboard

My 2006 yam is already 'old' at 13 years :( .. but still runs & starts like is new ! You're adorable :rofl . This is a picture of the 69 Evinrude that is on my SIB and this thing starts with the first push of the button or first pull of the rope. The engine is actually a year older than I am!

Re: Marine Sealant For Transom

Funny, when I look on Amazon for Sikaflex it shows Sikaflex and 3 results down the 3M 5200 :). Thank you! The 5200 is marine sealant as well, I do like that the 3M comes in a smaller container that doesn't require a caulk gun for smaller jobs (as well as the caulk gun version).

Re: Honda Marine - Honwave Air Floor Range- (Quality Control Issues)

Inflate the boat, turn it upside down- can you stand on the V without it bending/Caving in ? I'm not a T38 owner, nor likely to ever be one since from everything I've been able to determine is that Honwave is sold only in Europe. That being said, this statement intrigued me and makes me want to try...

Inman or Sea Eagle SIB

I've been doing some preliminary checking for a future SIB as mine is getting on in age and if the stars align I might replace it in the next couple of years and have found a couple of boats that are 4.2 meter boats like I have now that can handle my 25HP motor. One brand I've heard of before, Sea E...

Marine Sealant For Transom

I'm going to add a water discharge to my SIB transom to run my bilge to and am wondering what you all use for a sealant. I thought about 3M 5200, the gold standard for boats, but not sure if that is the way to go or not. While I don't intend to ever need to remove it before the seams fly apart on th...

Re: Warsash to IOW 21st June

Those look like nice new pretty boats! So do you guys just sit on the pontoon and use the bench for accessories?
