MEMBERS MAP - How, Why & Where ......

Postby Martin » 20 May 2017, 12:48

:chat By Request... We have created a members map (offsite link) to allow you all to add your locations. (PLEASE USE A LOCAL AREA RATHER THAN YOUR HOUSE NUMBER or STREET) :?
There are additional options for adding Launch Sites, Camping & Caravanning sites (Boat friendly) and infact anything boatlike you think may benefit the forum guys.

When adding your own location etc, please add the F-ribs and Sibs URL as this will benefit us in time. (found on the address bar after clicking home/board index)

Please keep within the colour scheme, if you think of anything else then please alert us (on here and we'll make adjustments you require.)

This has the potential to be VERY VERY helpful for thousands of folk, To build a large well documented map of all things boatlike will be superb...

Go for it guys, lets give this some hammer and make it World Wide :thumbsup

F-Ribs And Sibs - Members Map

Your unlock is
Fribs2015 (Case Sensitive) then click unlock

Click additions, Add new, You can then add a simple marker, or perhaps use the detailed marker and add forum links to already posted sites/youtube video's.. etc
Add your details, then SAVE !

CAN THE REGULAR ACTIVE MEMBERS PLEASE MAKE A NOTE OF THE UNLOCK CODE, THIS WILL SOON BE DISAPPEARING FROM VIEW AND TO UPDATE THE MAP WILL REQUIRE USERS ASKING FOR THE UNLOCK CODE WHICH YOU GUYS CAN SHARE VIA PM...
Leaving it unlocked or leaving the code in open view is not particularly clever, I'm sure we don't want knocking shops and such additions :whistle

When posting your tag, it's best to tag a public area near you rather than right outside your front door ;-)

I've added my two locations (Berkshire and Fife) on the map, plus a couple of slipways I know on the Firth of Forth

I'm going to recce some potential launch sites on the Thames this week so will add those that confirm as being suitable.

:cheers

Huh ?? have you not heard the old saying..any Port in a storm Martin ? ..that's all relevant boaty stuff ? :busted

Have added my place.. but it would take a year to input all the launch places I use.. however I added three of the better known ones on Loch Fyne..as I was there yesterday :thumbsup

Looking good guys... :thumbsup
Some of the additions are just labelled with no or very little info (Launch / slipways) If you add the site, can you add some detail to it please (Parking, charges, open times, facilities)

If you add any trade organisations (Chandlers etc) please add your name to ensure it doesn't get deleted.
