That is exactly the one. The changes from last years model are the pole / stick for the light has been repositioned, and now the whole bladder lights up when in the water.

They are expensive, but they are incredibly comfortable to wear all day long, and include all the features I want like crotch straps, spray hood, light, ability to convert between auto & manual, etc.

Let's not forget that Chris teaches power boating for a living ;-) so needs the best/hard wearing kit out there  so I'm sure your kit will be adequate for the use you'll give it, now they've tested OK 8-)
I walked through the door marked 'EXIT' and life is now good!

Absolutely, any lifejacket that passes the "stays inflated overnight" test, and a gas cylinder that weighs the correct amount, will save your life in an emergency. #UselessUnlessWorn

Going back about 12 months ago I saw a post on foldable ribs twitter account regarding life jacket inspection/servicing.
Immediately after watching it I checked my 3 jackets @ weighed the gas canisters. For those that don't know, you should find the canister proposed weight stamped on it.
I was shocked at the video after seeing severely corroded canisters fitted to a life jacket.

On PB2 courses I always teach students how to check a lifejacket they are loaned, and we check every LJ to be used before wearing it

1. Open it up
2. Check manual firing plastic indicator is still attached
3. Unscrew gas cylinder and check no hole in the end (and note weights stamped on the cylinder)
4. Inspect gas cylinder for corrosion.
5. Inspect auto firing cartridge and check auto firing indicator
6. Check best before date on UM cartridges and manufactured date on HR cartridges
7. Inspect bladder for rust, mildew, damage
8. Check tightness of gas cylinder and auto cartridge
9. Repack jacket

These checks only take a couple of minutes to perform.

It's surprising how many lifejackets in regular use fail these simple checks.
