Reel Easy Fishing Charter

Postby Andy B » Sun Dec 03, 2017 11:46 pm

Spent the day (Saturday) out fishing off the Needles with Reel Easy charters,
Me and a group of friends with mixed fishing abilities.
Kev the owner/skipper was great, More than happy to give hands on advice where needed and the sausage sandwiches and hot drinks were definitely a hit.
Despite the fishing in the area being very quiet for the time of year and it was bloody freezing! Kev was able to keep the fish coming.
Even if at times we were being plagued by doggies! But lets face it it's better to catch something rather than sitting there catching nothing...
We had a total of 7 different species on the day from Ray's to eel's.
Plenty of Pouting and enough Whiting for everyone to take something home for the pan.
Unfortunately no Cod, but you can't win then all.......

If you are wanting to go fishing on the Solent and are considering a charter boat, I'd happily recommend Kev and his boat "Reel easy"
The boat is moored in Keyhaven and I certainly will be using him again :D
I'll drop the link here and a few pictures of the day.....

Yeah, It was a proper day out mate.
Everyone on board was catching fish, and for a couple of the lads it was there first time out on a charter boat so they couldn't care less what they caught as long as they caught something :D
We had another boat cancel on us at short notice and we found this boat by chance.
I think the skipper sussed out the guys at first glance so headed to spots with plenty of smaller fish rather than heading out to try for bigger stuff.
The radio chatter was full of boats with disappointed fishermen, but we had a great time.
I think I'd like to go out again with some more experienced friends next time and maybe catch something bigger.

But maybe next time i'l wait for the sun........lol
