Hi from Staffordshire

Postby Stoksey25 » 06 Dec 2017, 16:35

Hi all.

Great site full of info. Been into boating for a few years always wanting a rib but ended up with a 1970 fletcher that needed lots of work . Over a few years this was completed and has been used for a few years . (Still wanting a rib)

I am looking for a smaller rib or sib so it is more use able for our family. . I may be asking some questions along the way. Thanks all

Hi Neil,
Welcome to the forum, many of us were in the same boat :D as yourself not long ago, you’ll always get the answers you need from the lads on here and they will guide you through regarding boats, engines and accessories. If you let them know how many people in the boat, how to transport it, where you want to launch from etc etc they will advise you what to go for. Hope you get what you need.

Hi and thankyou for everyone messages I have been using our boat from pwllheli and around abersoch area . Which has been great. I will be carrying 2 adults and 2 children. One 11 and one 7. I would like to do a bit of fishing and be able to drag it up on the beach on the wheels which is one of the main reasons for the change from the fletcher. Ours has a60hp mariner which is able to get along quite nicely at about 40 ish mph but not to bothered as long as it dosent take all day to get down the coast.ideally I would like to eventually tow a ringo or wakeboard too. I don't mind the towing of the boat either. I know it's alot but as you all have said I may aswell ask to see if anyone can offer advise . Thanks Neil.
