Thom's visit to Treasure Island

Thom found an old treasure map hidden at the bottom of his wardrobe. His Grandpa noticed that pirates were not very good at spelling.

We set off for Treasure Island and Thom used the map to find the way.

Thom used the map to find the rock with the crack in it. Then he found a flat stone with an “X” marks the spot on it. :)

It looked a great spot to start digging.

It’s got TREASURE in it! :) :) :)

:wavey

Just turned off the TV, feeling totally depressed after all the doom and gloom on the news.

Came to my favourite forum and saw this beautifully heartwarming thread.

Many thanks for putting a smile back on this grumpy old face, Douglas. :D

:cheers
cheers

Thank you Paul.

This is actually Thom's (age 4y) second boating season.

He started last year aged 3y, the same age as I started. This is now my 60th boating season :)

:clappy cool memory for the boy.
I dated a girl once in school and her Father told me I would never amount to anything. He was right!

That was an awesome idea!
Wrote a note said, 'back in a minute'. Bought a boat and I sailed off in it.

Thank you gwozhog and 9-R. I love the technical aspects of boating, sailing, windsurfing, kayaking etc. as much as anyone but at the end of the day, it doesn't really matter how you get yourself on the water. What is important is having fun and Thom sure got a load of fun that day.

Amen to your post Douglas :IANW
Regardless of the watercraft, enjoy your time on the water, have fun, be safe and respect it :thumbsup
Every minute spent on the water is an on going learning curve for me, hence why I enjoy it so much :D
