Mixing concrete to repair winters damage on my 1/4 mile drive. 2 days work done and the big ones done. Hopefully finish by Tuesday lunchtime. By then I'll have gone through a ton of aggregate/sand mix.
Why am I here - I should be in my boat fishing!!

Must admit that Venice was much better than I expected. As for the fishing Paul, I've been keeping an eye on the weather at home and I haven't missed much yet.

I've been on a fishing trip (that didn't involve my boat lol) with my brother in law. It was awesome. Nothing to brag catch-wise, but we've had a blast.

Just took a two week vacation that included the Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado and then over to Missouri to visit family for Fathers Day and my Dad's surprise 80th. Such an incredible time and we did so much, it felt like two months. Even got to meet up with one of my best friends that I hadn't seen in 15 years.

Part of this trip was for our 15th Anniversary. We re-visited the spot that I asked Mrs 9-R to marry me. We also re-did the photo and location of that moment as best we could. Was only sad that we couldn't get a photo of us along with the kids at the same time. Just after taking the photos, a young couple came up and got engaged in the same spot.

We stayed in a cabin in the mountains, hiked, rode horses, did indoor rock climbing, zip-lining, major hikes, shot guns, saw a lot of wildlife and had a lot of laughs. Even got to ride my first electric motorcycle. Exhilarating! Only bummer, no boat...

Wrote a note said, 'back in a minute'. Bought a boat and I sailed off in it.

I think that's awesome mate :clappy
The trunk you're sat on is exactly the same, the sprig of a branch is still struggling on despite its hosts decay :thumbsup I'm somewhat surprised the trees (pines) in the background haven't grown much :Confused
I wish I was more switched on to this romantic kinder stuff :thud ......... there'll be less domestic arguments for sure

Hmm, the best weather weekend so far, and I was stuck in painting my upstairs and downstairs hallways lol.
Nearly completed the upstairs of the house, so will be having a break until the weather turns bad - So boat time!

Decided to give my Trials bike a freshen up, starting with a good clean, which I got carried away with, 😂. Needed to pull the head and barrel of anyway as it’s needing a new piston and rings,

After I’d cleaned it a bit

Unfortunately Honda have stopped making the rings. But a company in Spain has a supply of the genuine ones, only problem is the price, €180 for 3 rings 😳.

Anyway I pulled it pretty much fully apart today, well almost just the engine and fork yokes left attached to the frame

Downside is I’ve found lots of parts need replacing, 😩.

Rear shock absorber rose joints are knackered, rear suspension linkage bearings are shot, swingarm bearings also need replacing, head stock bearings need doing as well, rear brake pedal pivot bearing, etc no to be an expensive clean up,

So,far just then rings, piston, little end bearing, gudgeon pin and c clips including top and bottom gasket have set me back just over £300, with at least another £150 in bearings to do the rest of it, all for a 18 year old trials bike which I throw at rocks :thud
