Yes we do need to reschedule the sib outing, but next weekends weather forecast is looking slightly too windy. Maybe the weekend after will be better sibbing weather

I was thinking the same , but then I'm guilty of pulling out of Sunday ( Sorry again Chris .. I'll confirm a new date soon (maybe open it up on here ?) . New job is taking a lot of time from me. I did get the RIB out last week on Sunday to Yarmouth & back and a mates taking my SIB to Salcombe this weekend ...

I've got to find time to speak to experts about prop options and get the templates for my foam teak deck sorted and fix up Andys old tender ...

The weather is unusually warm so I really need to try and make the most of it .. I'm say here in a polo shirt , with all the doors to the garden open without a cloud in site !

Managed to get out the last 2 weekends on the Saturday and Sunday from Newhaven and eventually got to try the new (to me) 15hp Yamaha 2 stroke. The first weekend light winds but quite a bit of swell so not much change to test the motor, but a nice day to be out even if it was fishless.

Last Sunday was much better, very little swell, got to try the trim settings and found a nice sweet spot and also had the new Typhoon drysuit on which was very comfortable and toasty warm, even without the inner fleece. As for the fishing bagged a dozen nice mackerel, decent sized whiting and even a take home bass. :D

Only bad this was when getting back on the Sunday with the tide going out the end of the slipway was left high and dry and I had to wait round for over an hour for enough water to come in to cover the nasty looking mud. :whistle

Might be able to get out again this Saturday if the winds drop down and the swell isn’t too bad and one day I might even remember to take a camera.

I thought it was illegal to bag Bass this year, regardless of size?
Not a complete idiot - some parts are missing.

Rules changes as from 1/10/18 to take one over sized bass in a 24hr period per angler.
