Patches at poole

Post by Mitch » 14 Jun 2018, 21:51

Got out on fri, went out to the middle & outer patches between Poole & Bournemouth, weather was great virtually no wind & loads of sun ( got burnt) so once out of Poole harbour opened her up & got about 19 knots with my mate & all our fishing gear, more to the point it was easy to handle so was pleased with the boat.
Not a great deal out there, 5 doggies, 6 mackrel, & 12 black & red bream, kept the ones that was above the limit the biggest being just over 2 lbs so took home 6 bream & 6 mackrel.
Much better than shore fishing.

Looking for the fish

Look Great!

I have never fished from my boat (weird, I know) but it is something I am wanting to start doing. I used to fish with my Dad as a lad but I haven't touched a rod in years.
I just want to catch my dinner!
Not a complete idiot - some parts are missing.

Well done Mitch, hope you enjoyed the fish. It's flat up here, but too windy to go fishing.

Cheers guys, just making a few mods to it now that I’m happy with it, will be keeping the honwave so I’m sticking things on it for the canopy & rubber strake etc.
YES, that is my old boat Steve, I think it’s a bit wrong as the same thing could happen to somebody else, guy buys it then sells it without saying anything to the new owner & the poor person has ended up with a bad boat, I know it says in the advert it’s defective but it should have been scraped.

You'd have thought their 'good' reputation was worth more than £475 and that boat would have been scrapped by now...

TBF
The advert is very honest and if all you need is a tender to cross to your moorings then fare enough, but the flip side is that someone could quite easily buy this to flip it back on the open market for a quick profit to some unsuspecting person! I don't think weve seen the last of this boat....
