Well speaking to Mitch and Paul today, we're pretty sure that's Mitch's old boat.
The red'ish mark inside the hull is from the paint on the mats that Mitch has in his boat.

Well also agree that who would sell a boat without a picture of it inflated?

But on a brighter note, Mitch's new boat is the real deal :thumbsup

Totally different boat, touched 23 knots & it went straight, well pleased that I’ll be able to keep up with everyone, & thanks to all on the forum cause I think if I wasn’t on here & got advice from all you guys I would probably have got fed up with the boat & thought that this boating lark is a load of crap & sold the whole lot.

And that's what this forum is all about mate, helping each other out, sharing knowledge, experiences, ideas, modifications and getting out on the water, doing what you want to do :thumbsup

From your experience of purchasing we've all learned something :o hopefully we can pass it on to the unsuspecting purchaser

Good to see you enjoying your boating at last :hugs
:cheers

We can’t be certain Martin but there was one on eBay which was just down the road from where I exchanged mine so location was right, it was very cheap with engine, it was not inflated just laid out & there was a mark across the inside bow floor where I had one which was left from the floor mats I put in the boat cause I numbered the lock in mats with red paint so I’d know where they went & when they get wet it leaves a mark on the boat.
Could be a coincidence.

I've had a look through the sellers feedback, and He/she If Wendy is a chap? ;-) has been selling lots of boat related stuff.

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Honwave-t38- ... 7675.l2557

feedback page.
https://feedback.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAP ... ckAsSeller

I suspect that this is an outlet for stuff they don't want on the books?
All total speculation of course, that's why i've been careful not to use trading names...

I had an interesting conversation last night.
The guy who bought my Yam had just bought a Honwave T35 from Bridger Marine.
Now this is just man chat over and outboard, but he told me that he originally went in to buy a T38, but he was actively discouraged from buying one due to recent problems with defective floors.
Apparently they have had a few returned in recent months?

I have a brand new T38 and it is just like the picture of Paul’s boat - the floor sides touch each other at the bow but then separate again. The keel is totally straight and it tracks straight and planes a treat.
Not a complete idiot - some parts are missing.

Chris,
I was a little concerned when I first saw your boat!
But as you say it seems to be ok?
The concern I had was that it didn't seem to have much of a V shape to the bow.
I remember being out with Mitch when he had his first boat and it looked like a bloody landing craft, the bow was almost flat....

I do remember a while ago Martin posting a picture of his T38, upside down next to his caravan and you could definitely see the deep V in the hull. In fact I think Martin was saying about how he could stand on the upturned boat...
