Yup. Ready to go now. If only tomorrows weather was playing nice :(

Managed to get a new used clamp screw from the local Johnson guy... New was 40 quid... 15 mins and some gentle persuasion later we'd dismantled his stand from out front of his shop and I had a new bolt. Proper way to do business!! :)

Well.. maiden voyage all went well for about an hour.. then after stopping for coffee.... I couldn't get the engine going.

So spent an hour rowing before calling a mate to pick me up. He laugged so much as he knows how hard it is to row a sib... into wind and current!

Someone's been buggering about with electrics before I got it... so liked the spark due to done awesome bodge.

Still... fixed now with proper connection. Need to tweak the grear selector to make sure it's right.. then try again.

But i really love fiddling in the garage getting stuff fixed :) And t's quick with 15 on it ! :)

Pete
Oh, not good :( but hey it's exposed a hidden issue that could have occurred at a most inappropriate moment in the future
Glad it's a cheap and simple fix :thumbsup
Very nice portable setup mate

Cheers guys - pleased to find it before being out of a harbour. I think it does look nice - engine goes with the boat well - but as ever I need a bit more weight in the bow (or I need to get used to a SIB again !) .

Despite the weight being the same as the 10hp version (and within limits) its still quote stern heavy . 2 up it should be about perfect - but on my own its a rocket ship ! :)
