Trailer - Info

Post by James » 27 Jun 2018, 14:04

Hi

I may have found myself a trailer for an F-Rib 360. It's a custom trailer (I guess home made), but it looks like I'd be able to unbolt it all and put it together fairly quickly.

Before anyone jumps on me about CE req's  this trailer is quite old but in good condition - And Martin, it's not Petes trailer as thats not long enough hehe

The problems I am trying to get around are.
1) I can't fit a trailer on my property (full time)
2) After a day of boating and driving home I have to unload the truck (Unless we go out on a Saturday) and put everything away. It can take me an hour or so. Then we have the issue of trying to wash the salt off the boat.
3) When at the launch site, I have to set the boat up while trying to keep an eye on the kids.

What I would like to do, a day or 2 before a trip
1) Put the trailer together (10mins I recon)
2) Setup Boat
3) Drive to location
4) Drop Boat in Water
5) Drive back
6) Leave boat on trailer and wash it down
7) Day after boating, pack it all away

Generally, it would be so much easier and I know I would go out on it alot more.

How wide an Axel should a trailer be for an F-Rib 360? I think the arches should be under the tubes but without getting the F-Rib out, I can't guess the width of it.

If you see any second hand trailers that may suite, please let me know.

Funny how my thoughts have changed. When I first got in to boating I was like, why would anyone bother with a trailer when the boat folds up

Thanks

James

James

Check out my review on the F-Rib 430. My trailer and setup is there. Including how i converted from bunks to rollers.

Hi

Thanks for the info mate. I will go and have a read

This is the kind of thing I am thinking about.

Scrap the bunks, and replace with rollers.
Add rollers to the back of the Axel

When I don't need to use it, undo the screws in Blue and store trailer down the side of my property.

In my mind, it seems simple. But I'm not exactly an expert so maybe I am missing something.
