A Canadian canoe is a lovely boat for still waters, but in wind they just catch the wind like a sail and you get blown away. I take an electric trawling motor (with deep-cycle caravan/boat battery) as used by trout fishermen to get me back should a breeze spring up.

Awesome photos!

We have a canoe now as well. Lots of fun! I'd get a trolling motor as well but then we'd have to register it and pay yearly fees.
Wrote a note said, 'back in a minute'. Bought a boat and I sailed off in it.

Love Canadian canoes had a 17 footer for many years, some great summers on the Ouse River in UK.
Think I still have the canoe outboard mount in my garage.
Pity your not local you could have had it as a gift.
