I like that RIB, it looks comfortable.
Wrote a note said, 'back in a minute'. Bought a boat and I sailed off in it.

Yes, she is ideal for making quick progress, even in decent sized waves, without getting uncomfortable.

Stunning images again chris :thumbsup

Being curious over the comment regarding pb2 and MOB I had a quick look on the RYA site, it quotes :-

Level 2 Powerboat Handling
This two-day entry level course provides the skills and background knowledge needed to drive a powerboat and is the basis of the International Certificate of Competence.

It focuses on low speed close quarters handling, man overboard recovery, an introduction to driving at planing speed, and collision regulations. The course can be taken inland or on the coast and your certificate will be endorsed accordingly.

So you can do an inland or coastal, do they actually endorse it as an inland course on the certificate then ?
F-RibsAndSibs.Com.... :whistle
Because it's a big old WWworld out there

I was also looking at this last night Martin, it looks like they do. I am seriously considering it as some places require it in order to launch. Lydstep Haven (Tenby) is a place I would like to go and they require level 2 to launch. Looks like there are a couple of places near to me that do it. I am thinking it can only be a good thing.

I did mine in july martin & when I enquired I was told I could do the course at the lakes at south cerney which is just up the road or the next nearest was Bristol, so I presumed it was the same license, when I phoned south cerney the fella I spoke to seemed to be speaking rather poshly & was probably looking down the phone at me (I pictured him in a white shirt, white slacks & tie, a captains hat on even in the office & a sailing dingey parked outside) & when I said I was getting a sib he said they were fully booked for months so I phoned Bristol & they were great. Did the first day in the basin, mob, close manoeuvres etc & went out in force 6 the second day into the severn, came back in force 7 with tide behind us so I was glad I had a go in rough weather as she showed us how to work with the waves.

The PB2 is endorsed as coastal or inland. It is also endorsed as planing or displacement. If you want to hire a fast rib on the coast they will check it's both coastal and planing.
