Bravo BTP Digital electric pump.

Post by The Hobbit » 10 Jul 2017, 15:18

Hi All. I have a bravo BTP digital pump. It has a max pressure of 14.4 psi or 1 Bar. Ample for my Honwave T38 IE2. However, although it always pumps to the correct pressure then cuts out as it should it has never gone to the second stage of pumping, ie the noise change. Is this a problem? As I said it inflates all the tubes correctly which are 0.25 bar all round and 0.8 bar for the floor. Look forward to any experienced advice.
Another annoying thing....... any tips for the halkey roberts valve keeps vibrating loose? Thanks again

I've got the manual BTP12 pump, and must say I have not noticed mine going to second stage and it works fine , maybe it's not that noticeable

Forgot to mention mine was the "12" too. I'm beginning to think the same as it reaches the target pressure with ease. Thanks for your confirmation!

My pump is about 4-5 years old now and has a definite note change :scratch ....... maybe the later pumps have been modified or use a different method of switching from high volume to high pressure :? :Confused
At the end of the day, if it does the job it must be functioning correctly
If I get time I'll video mine during operation for future reference and members asking the same question
:cheers

Funny you bring this up
Mines 1 year old. It starts off with the 1st motor (like blowing), then after a few seconds switches to the loud pump which is slower

I'm going to try mine out tomorrow if I get chance as it's got me wondering if I've not noticed the difference in the sound

You will notice the sound difference. It is totally different.

First motor sounds like it's blowing air
Second motor sounds like it is pumping air

I was under the impression, the first pump should pump the tubes up and the second one tops the pressure up. Mine just switches to the second pump.

I've got a Bravo pump stopped down here somewhere. It needs a wire soldering on. I will see if I can find it tomorrow evening and take some photod

My bravo is digital.
It pumps the first stage up to 0.7 PSI then the second stage kicks in

Yes tried mine today and there is a definite difference in sound once it kicks over to the second stage, just never took much notice in the past, as I tend to leave it to get on with doing its job whilst I'm doing something else
