Matt, I would love to join you & maybe get some pointers from you seadogs, available either days. I have done the level 2 but going out in a seven MTR rib is totally different & they don't teach you much about smaller sibs.
I have been out of baiters point a couple of times & it appears it can be used at all states of the tide, a nice easy long concrete slope which I can pull the boat out on my own if I remove everything from inside, I think you'll need waders as it is shallow for some way out, plenty of parking, £7.20 for cars & £13.50 if you have a trailer.
Just got to stick to the channels as I cut across & hit a sandbar, ( removed some paint from the prop, but that was only damage).

Don't plan based on me, I will likely have to pull out either weekend.
Suggest you may want to plan 7th with 14th backup if bad wather

As Mitch says it's an all states of tide launch for us mate ;-) and you can always push your boat over the edge of the shallow slip to gain water depth to float
Plenty of parking, toilet on site and tap to wash your boat and engine if you bring along a hose
Here's a snap shot of the area from a previous :drive

Poole
At this moment in time I'm able to attend both dates :D

Okay cool. We shall opt for the 7th with the potential for a bad weather date change.

Ill start gathering passage info.
The good thing is pool harbour is very sheltered so if a long run isnt an option we could always play about bit of lunch on brownsea island etc but personaly i want to see that coast line.

That would be a shame james......i hope you can come along mate.......anyone is welcome to join us.

Okay so had a quick rough mileage tott up to portland and its a fair old trek here is a screen shot of the proposed route. Depending on time we could scrap the lulworth portland leg and have a bit of fishing???????? All weather and sea state depending

Matt
I can do the Saturday or the Sunday if it helps others to attend :D
Your rough passage plan gives us an 80-90 mile task which maybe 'ambitious' :whistle

Poole to Durdle Door (click attached map) and returning to port is 50 odd miles :|
As you say, we can always play it by ear on the day and bash some fish over the head with our lead weights to pass the time :fishing

7th Oct
BTW High water is around 10.35am and Low water 17.30pm on Saturday, for the Sunday 11.20am and 18.10pm ..... both fit well :)

Let us know what you/everyone wants to do :?:
:cheers

Okay so as paul rightly said the full passage plan is a monster trk so for me id like to see lulwirth cove so i have put together a simple passage plan for this.
Screenshot_20170925-115020.png
I have calculated that if we travel at aprox 12 knot average depending on sea state that this should take aprox 3hrs to complete so with rest stops and a bit of fishing its going to be an 8 hour full on day. If we have faviourable conditions this will reduce but in order to do this we all must be able to acheive 12 knots.

If the sea state/weather is not ideal then we can all decide on what to do. :thumbsup
