People to sail with / Events

Post by CaptainG » 26 Mar 2018, 19:05

Hi, I want to sail as much as possible. I'm retired, so available 7 days a week. Preferably around the Firth of Forth unless a trip of 2/3/4 days when I'd be happy to go further afield. Suggestions. :help

Are you looking for crew or to join a flotilla or both? Where do you usually launch from?

With the amount of members up in Scotland it would be good to get a meet up at some point, I’ve not done any boating on the east coast , so would be happy to have a run across to The forth area

But due to work I’m only available on sundays and Mondays through the summer months

Hi Steve and Paul. I looking to join a 'flotilla' not a crew. Haven't launched my new Rib yet, but propose to use Newhaven slipway in Edinburgh or Granton. Both are, I've been told, free. My first 20 hours will have to be slow as I'm running the engine in. Not to be used over 10mph. Happy to join in any event if free. Scottish Group sounds great.

Its very easy to communicate on here Captain,
There is a message system, evertime someone sends you a message you will get an email to tell you so.

If - when you sign in here you use the active topics button, you will see all the latest subjects and news. ACTIVE TOPICS is what most of us use.

As i said in my email, if you're struggling in any shape way or form with the forum, just ask, we're here to help.

There are different sections on the forum for different subjects, You'll see you posted about going out with friends on the "How To Guides & Help Library" the best place to try and arrange outings would be in "Events"
You can reply to whoevers post on each forum/topic/thread.
If you want to start a new topic, do as you have done with this topic, but try and keep to the relevant forum.

IE:- If you had something boaty to sell, you would post that in the market place for sale section.

If you wanted to do a run out with some of the boys, you would post that in the events section..

If you wanted some outboard technical help, you would post that in the outboard section

Hope that helps,

Martin :cheers
