Mike and I are just back. We have some footage of the boat going up the Falls of Lora at one of the best low tides I've seen. That's when the big fall occurs. Watch this space ...

Weather Gods smiled on us. Fishing was just so-so. The level dropped at least six inches while we were there, making the approach to the beach treacherous. A lot of the loch is very shallow, less than a metre, hence the speed limit. Mike smacked his prop on a stone and sort of corrugated the blades....

Looking forward to barbecuing a couple of perch. That and a nice bottle of Czech beer will be very pleasant. Plus good company of course.

Michael (Warder54) and I will be on Loch Ken for a few days from 16th May. This is our annual fishing trip, and, while this isn't an organised event, if anyone is in the area it would be great to meet up.

You can get an idea about the size of the sea from these pics. In the one with the broken water we were over the first big wave. The green cliff was the biggie. I reckon it was nine or ten feet, trough to peak. And we were in a 360 .....
